Compile special release binaries with symbols

    Description

      For easier debugging and investigation, have special (rather high-performing) release binaries with symbols (-g flag) that can replace the normal release binaries. The file name suffix could be -symbols. Additionally the binaries could have other useful features like ability to log/print asserts.
