    Description

      MDEV-37554 changed the way that the extra authentication data is sent over the wire. This was done as MySQL silently changing the protocol to always send it for all bytes. Previously, the payload was prefixed with a 0x1 byte if it had a conflicting 0x0, 0x255 or 0x254 byte but after MDEV-37554, it'll always be prefixed by a 0x1 byte.
