MaxScale version 2.4.9
Operating System : RHEL7.4
Hardware - On-premise OpenStack
Description
Hi Team,
We are using MaxScale version 2.4.9 for load balancing the request made to Galera Cluster(3 nodes)
The write operation is only take care by the master node and read operation by all the 3 nodes of the cluster.
We are having the 2 Galera Cluster behind the MaxScale which are listening the required on two different listeners.
The Maxscale Configuration in our environment is attached to this ticket.
Problem Statement:
Maxscale is not sending the traffic on all the 3 nodes equally. The 3rd node of Galera Cluster is not having ample amount of load in comparison to other nodes in the cluster.
Question is why maxscale is not utilizing the 3rd node in read-write split router configuration?
How to fix the issue?

MXS-5142 Workaround Maxscale Not Distributing the load on all Galera Cluster nodes equally

- Closed
-
This might be caused by
MXS-4611orMXS-3880, both of which have been fixed in the latest MaxScale 21.06 release (formerly MaxScale 6) which is now also available under GPLv2. If you can, please try upgrading to a newer version to see if the problem has been fixed by that, MaxScale 2.4 has gone EOL a long time ago and any problems with it will not be fixed.
