Description
serg quote:
> "[RPM Compat package]" where build it on all platforms where we released MariaDB-shared-10.1.x
upon danblack investigation:
the last 10.1.x (x=48) the RPM distributed packages where https://archive.mariadb.org/mariadb-10.1.48/yum/
Notably no RHEL 8.
The only distros in the final days of existence here are SLES12 (amd64/ ppc64le) where they where released.
SLES12 SP5 ends this end of this month: https://www.suse.com/lifecycle/#suse-linux-enterprise-server-12 / https://mariadb.com/kb/en/mariadb-platform-deprecation-policy/
SLES 12 ppc64le got lost along the way so recent there isn't a release.
SLES 12 s390x never had a 10.1.x release.
So its only SLES 12 amd64.
So with RHEL/Centos7 EOL along with SLES12, it can all go.
Per MDEV-21430 there is also no need for RHEL8 compat packages.
