    Description

      MDEV-17398 was partially implemented as a GSoC 2024 project, scoped appropriately for the time allotted for GSoC. Remaining GIS Functionality to implement:

      ST_BUFFER_STRATEGY
      ST_FrechetDistance
      ST_HausdorffDistance
      ST_Latitude (from MySQL 8.0.12)
      ST_Longitude (from MySQL 8.0.12)
      ST_LineInterpolatePoint() (from MySQL 8.0.24)
      ST_LineInterpolatePoints() (from MySQL 8.0.24)
      MBRCovers
      ST_GeomCollFromTxt (synonym for ST_GeomCollFromText)
      ST_MakeEnvelope
      ST_NumInteriorRing (synonym for ST_NumInterioRings)
      ST_PointAtDistance (from MySQL 8.0.24)

      ST_Transform (from MySQL 8.0.13)
