Server crashes or hangs with SET ROLE when started with skip-grant-tables

    Description

      If the server is started with --skip-grant-tables, then attempting to set a role either results in the server hanging or crashing, depending on affected version.

      set role x;
      		 
      ERROR 2013 (HY000): Lost connection to MySQL server during query
