mxs_adapter requires -t to gracefully exit

    Description

      The default timeout is used to stop the adapter. This should not be the case and the process should be interrupted.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Start the adapter without the -t option
      2. Stop the adapter with Ctrl+C

      If the adapter stops, the bug is fixed.
