    Description

Currently, the MariaDB Connector ODBC binaries are not available for s390x architecture. We would like to know if support for s390x can be provided.
We have tested that the current open-source MariaDB Connector ODBC github repo could compile and build successfully on s390x machines with code changes generic to Intel and s390x architecture. Also the unit tests are passing. Please let us know what support is needed from our end to help enable the binaries of MariaDB Connector ODBC on s390x.

Hi vibhutisawant. We have at this point no plan to provide s390x based binaries. It is good to know that you could make the connector compiled and built successfully. We do not have a s390x available, so we are not able to compile, build and test on this platform.

          Hi Ralf
Thanks for the insights. We can provide linux/s390x VM so that the connector can be built and tested at your end. Please let us know if any further help is needed from us.

          Hi Ralf Gebhardt

          Any updates on this?
Also, we would like to know about the binary release process. Is Travis CI being used for the same?

We have already raised a PR to add s390x specific code changes, however no update yet. Could someone please review those?

Hi Sawant, we won't create binaries at this point in time. But we still will review your pull request and will merge it, if it does not break our builds. This way you can use our code base to create binaries yourself.
The linux/s390x related code can be maintained by the linux/s390x community via pull requests, we will merge changes if needed.

          Hi Ralf Gebhardt

          This issue can be closed.

The change, allowing this to be closed was merged into 3.1.13. But since we do not support s390, that is not reflected in the fix version
