Description
I want to store maxctrl output (mostly statistics) in a log file. The color codes and utf-8 borders of the default tabular output are shown as garbage if the log file is displayed.
This ticket asks for an output mode (maybe --ascii) that renders table borders with ASCII chars ("+", "-" and "|" - like the MariaDB CLI). No colors should be used in the mode. I need that change in maxctl, but it should be applied to all tools where table output with UTF-8 chars and color control sequences is used.
