Description
As a user, I want maxscale to automatically download ODBC drivers for me when It can. and provide clearer explicit instructions for importing other ODBC drivers. This will help adoption and the user experience to migrate data out of these other databases to mariadb
For example, the mariadb odbc driver should be most straightforward:
https://mariadb.com/downloads/connectors/connectors-data-access/odbc-connector
https://dlm.mariadb.com/browse/odbc_connector/3.2.6/
Automate for
- MariaDB
- MySQL (https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/odbc/ ? )
- MongoDB ( https://github.com/mongodb/mongo-bi-connector-odbc-driver/releases/ ? )
- Postgres ( https://docs.stelodata.com/Products/sqdr/help/linux_odbc__postgres.htm ? )
https://ftp.postgresql.org/pub/repos/yum/13/redhat/rhel-8.5-x86_64/ ? - Oracle ( https://knowledge.informatica.com/s/article/HOW-TO-Configure-ODBC-For-Oracle-In-Linux?language=en_US ? )
https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/netsuite/ns-online-help/section_4049054066.html#To-install-the-latest-driver-on-Linux%3A
