Description
As it stands, MariaDB MaxScale gathers a lot of useful statistics, but this is not persisted and are hence lost on a restart. The idea for this feature would be to save statistics in some format, say a JSON file, and to have a reporting feature in MariaDB MaxScale that would use this. The report I foresee would largely be one or a few prebuilt ones. The report would include things like total uptime over some period, number of servers, workload as distributed over the servers etc. The focus would be to provide a high level overview of how the cluster has been bahving over a given time period. The report would be generated as a PDF and have some graphs in addition to some hard facts. I can foresee one report providing a lot of detail and one being much higher level with just one or two pages.
I think this would be a great feature for the upcoming Enterprise version, a typical Enterprise feature,
