Avrorouter not functioning

After proper setup of Maxscale and an avroRouter, the latter does not produce any .avro files.

The binlogRouter functions as expected, producing the appropriate changelog files, and the logs report the avroRouter starting properly and rotating log files:

[avrorouter] End of binlog file [mysql-bin-changelog.011931] at 682. Rotating to file [mysql-bin-changelog.011932]

The required .avsc are present.

Worth noting is the fact that this behavior is sporadic. Using the exact same settings sometimes results in the avroRouter working, albeit rarely. In both cases the logs look the same.
