Faulty installation file for MariaDB 11.8.3 due to missing elements

zypper install mariadb-11.8.3-linux-systemd-x86_64.tar.gz
fails with this error message:

Unexpected exception.
'nvalid path name component '/mariadb/yum/11.8/opensuse/$releasever/$basearch

1) File mariadb.repo is false
I downloaded it from three sources/servers: Graz (Astria), Uni Busapest, MariaDB Archive (Deutschland) - the same in all three cases

2) Referenced file en.opensuse.org/Zypper/Troubleshooting does not exist or is inaccessable
