Correctly writes out the cache at the 8192 mark:
$ cat data/server_audit.log | wc -c |
8192
|
However, when changing the server_audit_file_buffer_size to 1 byte more:
SET GLOBAL server_audit_file_buffer_size=8193; |
The log flush does not happen (while it should, as in the SELECT string alone there are 9000 bytes):
$ cat data/server_audit.log | wc -c
|
97
|
This is an incorrect operation.
As a sidenote, please note that - given that buffer flushes work on a byte limit basis - partial queries can and do appear in the audit log at any given time - as is the case here when using the 8192 example (and will be the case when fixing the 8193 case). So for example, here the written file ends in the middle of a query. The rest of the query is written upon the next flush.
