      Hello Robert!

We found two issues in MariaDB packages so far.

First is reported here: https://github.com/MariaDB/server/pull/3465, fix provided

Second is that "mariadb-maxscale" repo is broken on EL7 and it's enabled by default:
      https://dlm.mariadb.com/repo/maxscale/latest/yum/rhel/7/x86_64/repodata/repomd.xml : [Errno 14] HTTPS Error 404 - Not Found

      Thank you for contacting us!

EL7 is now EOL, so for the latest release of MaxScale we didn't build packages for it. I've copied in the EL7 MaxScale repos from the previous version, so that the repositories still work for those who haven't yet migrated off of EL7. Can you verify that things are working on your end? Thanks.

Below an earlier comment from Andrew Lukoshko that hadn't reached this ticket yet. I'll notify Andrew of dbart's latest comment now.

We found MaxScale repo issue during ELevate development - our project to support major version upgrades in EL ecosystem: https://almalinux.org/elevate/
We support MariaDB repos in our project so during testing we tried to setup CentOS 7 box with MariaDB installed and then upgrade it to AlmaLinux 8.

The method mentioned here: https://mariadb.com/kb/en/yum/#using-the-mariadb-package-repository-setup-script works but it creates MaxScale repo which is enabled by default.
So this breaks all yum operations.
