    Description

      MDEV-33465 was implemented with the startup option init-rpl-role. The option has the values MASTER and SLAVE, which means the server role must be known at startup. For MXS-5064, a solution like init-rpl-role=UNKNOWN (server waits for an external observer to define its role, as explained in the comments of MDEV-33465) is required.
