    Description

      my.ini > the "character_set_server/default-character-set", suddenly, no longer support "utf8mb4_unicode_ci" on 10.11.9. but "utf8mb4" dose. is that normal which you guys fully aware of?

          There is no such character set utf8mb4_unicode_ci, see e.g. SHOW CHARACTER SET. There is a character set utf8mb4.

          Also, there is a collation utf8mb4_unicode_ci (see SHOW COLLATION)

          It's expected that variables like character_set_server cannot be set to a value which is not a valid character set name.
