Install mariadb-11.4.2-win64 on Windows 11 home Indonesia cannot start service

    Description

      Ran 11.1 with no problem using databases from my 10.11.18 install on Fedora 40 box. Tried to install 11.4.2 and it failed on upgrade level 5.

      Cleared off all the old mariadb files . Did a complete DISM health check scan and restore. All seemed fine.

      The install starts fine. I can see the install when it fails with "MariaDB failed to start". I can navigate to the MariaDB folder and all is installed, but the log file says it is fatal.

      I tried to stop and start the MariaDB service. I changed the options and tried to restart the service after the error message, but no joy there.
