      Simple reason - innodb-log-file-buffering - is Windows and Linux only.

            danblack Windows is not relevant here, for Linux this is needed because innodb_log_file_buffering value depend on whether opening the file with O_DIRECT succeeds, or whether "fake PMEM" is being used. So if FreeBSD works somehow differently, please create .rdiff file, I do not have access to such machine.
