Description
Intermittently upon start/restart, the server begins creating gcache.page.XXXXX files instead of using the configured gcache. Because (by default) the gcache.page.XXXXX files are small this creates all kinds of issues with IST as described in MDEV-19084.
Note this was originally reported in MDEV-19084 and believed to be fixed in MariaDB 10.4.14 (Galera 26.4.5). I have recently upgraded to 10.4.21 (Galera 26.4.9) and the problem is back. So it appears we have a regression.
See MDEV-19084 for further details.
