Description
It could like like this
- install an old version of MariaDB on Windows, via MSI or ZIP, and install a service (via mysql_install_db.exe, or MSI can invoke that as well)
- install a new version of MariaDB, without service
- for the new version, in the bin directory , run mysql_upgrade_service service=<service_name>
- Verify that database instance was successfully upgraded.
