Remove system_versioning_hide variable

As discussed, system_versioning_hide is expected to be removed. I'm creating this task so it's not forgotten.

Of course, it can be reconsidered later, and then the task will be closed as "won't fix", but at least the decision must happen before the release, and if it's eventually decided to keep it, then maybe document examples when it can be useful.
