    Description

ubuntu 22.04 valgrind image was manually pushed to quay and currently does not receives any updates.
To maintain it properly we should handle the creation of this image via GitHub actions, similarly to the rest of the images.

recommend bumping to fc40 which includes 3.23.0 https://valgrind.org/downloads/current.html#current

The fixes are quite significant. Some previous flag hacks are probably avoiding some of the bugs.

https://packages.ubuntu.com/noble/valgrind only has 3.22.0. and jammy pretty old on 3.18.1.

For testing with Valgrind I guess it does not matter necessarily which OS Linux flavor we're using, whether using Fedora or Ubuntu but rather the Valgrind version is important, right?

Valgrind that is the lastest is the main factor.

Having the most modern compilers is a close second as they are likely to optimize code with undefined behaviour in much more unusual ways.
