Description
Currently, any issues at startup with columnstore w/ cmapi generically share a static message
`Config distribution isn't successful`
To understand the real error, you need to read /var/log/messages and interpret the results. But for new users/customer support the generic message is confusing
Per Internal Notes:
https://mariadbcorp.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/Support/pages/1576370225/Errors+seen+before#mcsStart%5BhardBreak%5D%22error%22%3A-%22Config-distribution-isn't-succesfull.%22
Possible Reasons:
*could be col.xmls - bad syntax or not matching up,
*dbroots not lining up or accessible,
*cmpai not online on all machines,
*permission issues on temp dirs,
*could be loadbrm failing because unreadable extent map
*Could be /var/lib/columnstore/.secrets defined but the CEJ user password not encrypted
Â
| the cmapi log and var log messages should have a tiny bit more detail
