    Description

      https://github.com/mariadb-corporation/MaxScale/pull/78

tries to simplifying bootstrapping a MaxScale server. With this patch if you know the binlog file number you want to start at then you can just "touch" the file. Previously it was necessary to add the 4-byte magic prefix for MaxScale to work as a MySQL server gets upset if you really ask it to give you data from position 0.

      Please consider taking this patch.
