      When building MariaDB on IBM System Z, builds fail with various errors, including "Unsupported platform"

            I attached a file IBM sent me with some patches against 10.1.5 that may address this issue by adjusting compiler flags, etc.

            jplindst, please review fix for this bug. I bet there're race conditions on Z, but I'd leave that for another bug.
