Description
galera.MDEV-34117 fails with ERROR 1205 (ER_LOCK_WAIT_TIMEOUT) on the 10.11, 11.4, 11.8, 12.3, 13.1 and main branches.

Analysis
Two builders are affected, aarch64-debian-12 and s390x-ubuntu-2204, and every listed branch fails on at least one of them (10.11, 12.3 and 13.1 on both). The failing statement is the first or second SELECT on node_2 after SET GLOBAL wsrep_on=ON (MDEV-34117.test line 49 or 50); the same SELECT statements earlier in the test, while wsrep_on is OFF, succeed in these runs.
