    Description

      The encryption functions DES_ENCRYPT/DECRYPT have been deprecated as of 10.10. This task is about removing them when 10.6 reaches EOL.

            No, sorry. Our deprecation policy says that we remove a deprecated feature when all releases where it's not deprecated have reached EOL. No feature should suddenly disappear when a user upgrades from a maintained release X to a maintained release Y.

            This means we can remove DES_* function when 10.6 reaches EOL. Not in 11.3, but in 12.5
