      Testcase (run MTR test with --cursor-protocol):

      SET NAMES utf8mb4;
      		 
      SELECT COLUMN_LIST(COLUMN_CREATE(_utf8mb4 0xF09F9982, 1));

      Expected result:
      COLUMN_LIST(COLUMN_CREATE(_utf8mb4 0xF09F9982, 1))

      Actual result:
