      with versions:
      xtrabackup version 2.3.10
      xtrabackup version 2.4.11

            From all I've heard and indeed seen, XtraBackup is known not to work with 10.3. If the hope has gone, maybe tests should be disabled (and incompatibility should be clearly documented, it is isn't yet).

            True, XtraBackup cannot possibly work with MariaDB 10.3 due to redo log, undo log and B-tree format changes introduced by MDEV-12288 and MDEV-11369.

            XtraBackup might not reliably work with MariaDB 10.2 due to MDEV-12289.

            In my understanding tests have been already moved to use mariabackup and documentation is updated.
