Killed update query hangs in "Init for update" with custom build #17025 from 10.2-compatibility

    Description

      A user running a custom MariaDB 10.2.11 build with build #17025 from the 10.2-compatibility branch killed an update query, and the query stuck around for over an hour. I suspect that it may have been hung because it was stuck in the "Init for update" state.
