Sorry - somehow it has started working fine now - so perhaps it is human error. Please close for now.
After upgrading to 10.1.15 thought I would try out the new background analyze table feature in TokuDB. According to Percona's docs, when you start a background job it should provide status via a new information_schema table: INFORMATION_SCHEMA.TOKUDB_BACKGROUND_JOB_STATUS After running the following command to create the schema table (missed this the first time around in the docs): INSTALL PLUGIN tokudb_background_job_status SONAME 'ha_tokudb.so' Then the table showed up.. however when I set tokudb_analyze_in_background=ON and run an analyze on a large tokudb table, nothing gets added to that table. If I try to run the analyze again, it says "Operation failed" .. suggesting that maybe it IS running the analyze somewhere. Nothing shows up in the background job table, or the running processes to suggest so though. Unsure if I'm doing something wrong, or if it's an issue with the feature.
