    Description

Tried to move some existing Deb 12 and Ub 24 server VM installations (using the tar.gz deployment) to 11.8 from 11.4 series - and none of the 11.8's will work. They all fail on startup with illegal instruction in any of the binaries.

It looks like all of the 11.8 builds (and likely anything in 12.x series I suspect) have been built with compiler options requiring newer CPU instruction sets.

      Was this an intentional choice?

These are not really that ancient of a datacenter CPU even if they aren't the most current. (Anyone using surplus Dell R720's for example in home labs or similar.) I'd ask you to reconsider this if it was an intentional choice, and to treat as an 'oops bug' if it was not.

Please consider at least supplying a linux .tar.gz build with older CPU compatibility.

Also, if this was intentional - please list the specific requirements in the release notes if possible.
