            For the record, another application that uses the UDF is the 'vdr-epg-daemon' package from Fedora:
            https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/vdr-epg-daemon
            and it fails to build with the latest Connector C version 3.4.4.

            I'm going to cherry-pick the revert commit:
            https://github.com/mariadb-corporation/mariadb-connector-c/commit/d4eec05d0
            into the mariadb-connector-c-3.4.4 in Fedora until you release a newer version
