 Description   

Get an error while trying to install MariaDB 2.0.17 on Windows 2003 server machine. Is there any other version of the odbc driver which is supported by the OS

Sorry I have to close your report for the just like in the issue you linked to. Windows 2003 is not supported by us any more https://mariadb.com/sites/default/files/MariaDBCorporationEngineeringpolicies-v1.05.pdf
And it's not supported by its vendor for more than 3 years. We don't have where to get this version in order to be able to test it.
As for old version, I would try version <2.0.10 I guess 2.0.10 had the change making it's not working on old Windows versions. I am not sure though. And the best way would be to build own connector from source https://mariadb.com/kb/en/library/about-mariadb-connector-odbc/#building-from-source I cannot guarantee that these instructions will work out of the box on old OS versions, but possibly with some tweaking
