 Description   

Hi support,

we have a connection problem between java connector and maxscale proxy.
1 - the access to Max Scale Proxy works fine from mysql client.
2 - the access to Backends servers works fine from jdbc
3 - Error only appears when connecting through MaxScale Proxy from java mysql connector library
The Main error message is as below,
Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: Access denied for user 'user'@'::ffff:XXX.XXX.XX.XX' (using password: YES)

Appreciate if you can help us resolve this issue with connecting through Max Scale proxy using java mysql libs.

maxscale version 2.5.
mariadb version 10.5.4
mysql-connector-java-8.0.21.jar

Does this happen with the MariaDB Connector/J?

Currently we are using mysql connector. We will test the same configuration using mariadb connector/j and will get back to you asap
