 Description   

Event handling copies buffers where zero-copy is possible.
There are some other optimizations (and cleanup) that come naturally when implementing zero copy.
These optimizations where prompted by "MXS-3147 Pinloki should not create logically empty binlog files", which is now blocked by this jira.
