 Description   

As an enterprise feature of MaxScale, we would like to include managed scaling, failover, recovery and monitoring of ColumnStore clusters via the ColumnStore API. This should be a centralized co-ordination service. Maybe something akin to Zookeeper for Hadoop.

The Columnstore monitor in 2.5.0 supports the following cluster operations:

  • starting
  • shutting down
  • turning readonly/readwrite
  • querying the status
  • getting the configuration
