I'll change it to a feature request as it wasn't intended to support encrypted binlogs. Also, in MaxScale 2.4 it will be able to replicate from a master server without storing the binlogs on disk at all which might make this less important. |

This is solved with the direct replication mode introduced in 2.4. |
