 Description

Some users would like GaleraMon to allow them to configure a standalone replication slave as a backup option that would only be used when the entire cluster is down or non-primary. That way, MaxScale can still route application traffic to the standalone slave when the cluster is unavailable.

Assuming that possiblity would be available, what should happen when the cluster comes back up. At that point the standalone slave will presumably contain data that the cluster does not have.

johan.wikman, markus makela, and toddstoffel,

Is this already implemented in MaxScale 2.4 as part of MXS-2441?

MXS-2441 only implements read scaleout via read replicas. A valid joined node is required for the replicating server to be labeled a slave in MaxScale.

Ah, OK. Thanks!
