Stalling for now, as progress so far has been just on properly detecting the roles in an arbitrary replication graph. Once done, this issue can be handled. |

Closing for now. Failover/switchover in arbitrary topologies should work. Requires proper testing, though. Rejoin is another issue, as the feature needs to be split into two. |
