Hi I have created the database followed by users in mariadb.
Later Whenever I want to run grant/revoke statements, I get this error.

As a temporary solution I am giving password in all the grant and revoke commands. Could you suggest what is the permanent solution?

I assume you mean ~~MDEV-9273~~. Did the upgrade work for you, is everything works well now?
