Hi everybody,

I did not have time to reproduce this in lab.

1. Start with two nodes running 10.0.23 and master->slave replication
2. Enable 4 parallel threads
3. Verify that relay-log.info contains parallel replication information
4. Stop slave
5. Disable parallel replication
6. Verify that relay-log.info still contains parallel replication information
7. Upgrade slave to MariaDB 10.1
8. Try to start replication
9. Verify that replication does not start with error message "Failed to initialize the master info structure"
10. Remove everything except first 4 lines in relay-log.info
11. Restart server (not sure if this is needed)
12. Replication works now

Please attach the relay log file which "still contains parallel replication information", and which you edit to only leave first 4 lines.

Added! I also observed that the filename of the log file is cut off. Sometimes the 2nd one was cut off, some times the third one.

Please also paste or attach the error log – all of it, not just the last "Failed to initialize the master info structure", and the config file(s).

The relay info file looks quite weird, not just because of the broken file name, but the whole thing, so there might be a variety of things that the server didn't like.

By the way, since your major complaint was "after upgrading" and "when parallel replication was enabled" – are you able to start 10.0 slave with this relay info file, with or without parallel replication?
