Many package on Debian depends on virtual-mysql-server-core package, but this support is not included to official mariadb-server-core-10.0 package. |

Debian MariaDB packages do provide virtual-mysql-core, see https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/pkg-mysql/mariadb-10.0.git/tree/debian/control#n66 This and many other things should be fixed when the new Debian is merged upstream, hopefully very soon. Unless it happens then those lines need to be backported to the control file at upstream mariadb.org. |

virtual-mysql-server-core has been in debian/control file for some time, closing this issue.. |
