 Description   

When i try the non-debug build the 'ar' and 'ranlib' tools SEGFAULT occasionally.
That crashes for instance:
/usr/bin/ar --plugin /usr/libexec/gcc/x86_64-redhat-linux/4.9.2/liblto_plugin.so -cr libtokuportability_static.a CMakeFiles/tokuportability_static.dir/tokuportability_static_depends.cc.o

I fixed things for myself installing binutils-2.25.

This is known issue, first mentioned in MDEV-6449.
Tracked down to be binutils bug on Fedora, see https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1149660

I suppose the workaround is to install newer binutils where applicable.

binutils has been updated on fedora21 build VMs, so closing
