Is there anything special about your environment? I'm not sure what exactly can cause the script to go into debug mode if it's not always like that, I'll ask around...

I did a new installation, not upgrade. If you first do apt-get remove --purge mariadb-galera-server-5.5

And then try? I did upgrade on two without the debug messages. so it might be a different script beeing triggered depending on if its upgrade or new install.

Yes, I thought so too, so I tried both clean install on a virgin VM snapshot, as well as upgrade, same result. Now I also tried a secondary install (install, purge, install again). Still no luck:

Ok might close this, cant say more why this triggered, its not a serious issue and if I get it with coming releases aswell I'll try to debug it more.

I'll remove the fix version and the due date, but will keep it open for a while, maybe new information pops up.

As discussed earlier, closing for now since it wasn't reproducible, and no new information had been received from any sources since then. We can re-open it later if there are any news.
