When following the instructions from http://www.codership.com/wiki/doku.php?id=mysql_galera_configuration I received:
130828 13:24:47 [ERROR] WSREP: Value 34359738368 too large for requested type (int).: 34 (Numerical result out of range)
at galerautils/src/gu_config.cpp:overflow_int():157

Not sure if this is a documentation or a code issue.

Still have this problem on :

On ARVM v71
On debian 8.x
MariaDB : 10.1.6
galera : lastest version

2015-11-01 10:21:38 3059527680 [ERROR] WSREP: Value 2147483648 too large for requested type (int).: 75 (Value too large for defined data type)
at galerautils/src/gu_config.cpp:overflow_int():175

without a low gcache.size : it make error
wsrep_provider_options="gcache.size=20M" => it work with this value, and should provide an error more explicit
