 Description

something like -DSYSV=0 - DSYSTEMD=1 would be nice.

i'll try and post my systemd file and see if i can come up with some patch on the CMakeLists.txt

the systemd patch I did in MDEV-5536 contains a -DWITH_SYSTEMD option that affects compile time. The same compiled code WITH_SYSTEMD can be used in sysv scripts or systemd scripts. The socket activation is only relevant if started with the systemd socket activition parts.

As such I don't think this bug adds more requirements than the other systemd bugs.
