 Description   

Windows version of mariadb 10.0.2 lacks ha_cassandra.dll. Is it possible to add it?

Hello,

It is possible, but it will require a substantial amount of effort. We will have to

  • put Thrift library's include and lib files on windows build hosts
  • put Thrift library DLLs into windows packages

I'm sorry, but this seems like too much to do, considering this MDEV item is the only request for running Cassandra on Windows I've seen so far. Please also note that Cassandra SE has limitations with recent versions of Cassandra: http://s.petrunia.net/blog/?p=88.

Btw, MariaDB's build process has no "secret sauce" of any kind, so if somebody really wishes to ru Cassandra SE on Windows, they are free to build/package ha_cassandra.dll themselves.
