Indeed, in 10.0.1 installation there is ha_cassandra.so, but not in 10.0.2.

Hi Mihail,

As a short-term workaround for the time being, you can use the bintar, it contains the plugin:

https://downloads.mariadb.org/interstitial/mariadb-10.0.2/kvm-bintar-precise-amd64/mariadb-10.0.2-linux-x86_64.tar.gz/from/http://ftp.igh.cnrs.fr/pub/mariadb

The debs will be fixed as soon as possible.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

i found repo with 10.0.1)
when 10.0.2 with ha_cassa will be available i'll upgrade and continue testing.

one stupid question about query optimizer with ha_cassandra:
how to force use indexes in cassandra and do not transfer whole CF in to mysql? I did not find "normal" example
only one reference about "Conditions in the form primary_key=... allow the server to construct query plans which access Cassandra's rows with key lookups." without examples(
or this mean that only primary key (rowkey) lookup allowed at this time?

I forwarded your question to Sergei Petrunia, the developer of Cassandra storage engine in MariaDB, hopefully he'll give you a full answer asap. He's at Percona Liive now, presenting Cassandra among other things, so if you happen to be there too, you can just find him and ask.

bar, want to add something?

Comment by Mihail Karp [ 2013-05-02 ]

dbart, nope.
but, if i understand sources, only PK can be used at current time(
i'll create new task about indexes.
